Qatar has condemned in the strongest terms the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli Minister of National Security alongside hundreds of settlers, as well as their performance of Talmudic rituals in its courtyards under the protection of the occupation authorities. Qatar has described these actions as flagrant violations of international law and the Hashemite Custodianship of the holy sites in Occupied Jerusalem.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its warning of the escalatory policy adopted by the Israeli government in the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing that the repeated attempts to harm the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque are not only violations against Palestinians, but against millions of Muslims around the globe.

The ministry held the Israeli occupation authorities solely responsible for the cycle of violence that will result from these violations and repeated incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the systematic escalatory policy against the Palestinian people, their lands and Islamic and Christian sanctities, urging the international community to take urgent action to stop these violations.

The ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm position on the just Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including their absolute right to practice their religious rituals without restrictions, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
