Qatar Braces for Rising Temperatures Starting Tuesday, Says Meteorology Department
The Qatar Meteorology Department has announced that the country will experience a noticeable rise in temperatures beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
In a social media update accompanied by a temperature forecast map, the department stated that the heatwave is expected to persist through the remainder of the week. Maximum temperatures are forecasted to reach the mid-40s in parts of the eastern coast.
Currently, Qatar is experiencing hot daytime conditions, accompanied by moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds. Temperature ranges have been fluctuating between 26°C and 45°C.
A similar alert was issued by the Meteorological Department in Kuwait City, where temperatures are predicted to soar as high as 51°C in some areas.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates has set a new May temperature record, registering 51.6°C for two consecutive days—surpassing the previous monthly high of 50.2°C.
