Qatar’s Endowments Ministry Concludes 2026 ‘Professional Generation’ Summer Training Programme

Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has successfully concluded its 2026 Professional Generation Summer Training Programme, providing practical workplace experience and professional development opportunities for secondary school and university students.

The programme brought together 70 male and female students, reflecting the ministry’s commitment to preparing young Qataris with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the government sector and the wider labour market.

Equipping Youth for Future Careers

Held under the theme “Awqaf Professional Generation,” the initiative combined classroom learning with hands-on training across various departments within the ministry.

Participants gained practical experience in government operations while developing essential workplace skills, leadership qualities and a deeper understanding of the ministry’s role in serving the community.

Recognising Outstanding Participants

During the closing ceremony, the ministry honoured the participating students, programme supervisors and staff members who contributed to the success of the initiative.

Officials praised the students for their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication throughout the training programme, highlighting the value of using the summer break to build practical skills and prepare for future careers.

Supporting Qatar National Vision 2030

Rashid Al Marri, Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department, said the programme reflects the ministry’s commitment to supporting the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030 by preparing a generation capable of contributing to the country’s future.

He noted that the programme balances theoretical knowledge with practical experience while promoting values such as discipline, punctuality, teamwork and professional responsibility.

Building Skills for the Future

The ministry said the programme also helps students adapt to the evolving demands of the labour market by strengthening their administrative, professional and interpersonal skills.

By exposing participants to real workplace environments and identifying promising young talent, the initiative aims to encourage greater engagement with public service and support Qatar’s transition towards a knowledge- and innovation-driven economy.
