European Universities Arabic Debating Championship
QatarDebate Center, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Research and Community Development, organized the European Universities Arabic Debating Championship, which kicked off today in Istanbul and will continue for four days, with the participation of more than 20 teams from various European countries.
The championship is held in cooperation with Fatih Sultan Mehmet University, the strategic partner of QatarDebate Center, and hosted by Ibn Haldun University.
Through these championships, QatarDebate Center aims to promote a culture of debate in the Arabic language, especially among non-native speakers, as they are considered one of the important activities for practicing and learning the Arabic language. They also contribute to enhancing mutual understanding of customs, traditions and values ??in Arab societies, and enabling participants to communicate culturally and build bridges of positive relations between countries.
In conjunction with the championship, QatarDebate Center organized the Arbitration Academy program from February 10 to 13, with the participation of more than 30 arbitrators, under the supervision of an elite group of the center's trainers.
The program aims to prepare professional arbitration cadres, through practical training workshops to enhancing the understanding of arbitration mechanisms, such as analyzing the debaters' speeches, building the two teams' positions, methods of managing the debate, and mechanisms of deliberation between arbitrators to determine the results accurately and objectively.
The participants praised the level of training provided by the center's trainers.
