QatarEnergy Reveals Petrol and Diesel Prices for May 2024

QatarEnergy has released the anticipated fuel price adjustments for Premium and Super petrol, as well as diesel, for the upcoming month of May. Continuing its recent trend, QatarEnergy has opted to maintain stability in fuel costs, thereby ensuring consistency for consumers.

Premium petrol will remain priced at QR1.95 per litre, while Super grade petrol will maintain its rate at QR2.10 per litre. Similarly, the cost of diesel will hold steady at QR2.05 per litre throughout the following month.

This decision follows a period in which diesel and super grade petrol prices have remained relatively constant, while premium petrol prices have experienced fluctuations, oscillating between QR2.05 and QR1.90 per litre in recent months.

Since September 2017, the Ministry of Energy and Industry has been pegging fuel prices to the international market, with QatarEnergy taking the helm in announcing the monthly price adjustments. This strategy aims to align local fuel prices with global market trends, ensuring a fair and transparent pricing mechanism for consumers across Qatar.
