Riyasat Doha launches its first ever Friday brunch
August 09, 2021, Doha, Qatar â Riyasat, located in the opulent St. Regis Doha, offers guests a new definition for Friday brunch, with a selection of dishes that draw on royalty-inspired and traditional cooking. With summer here, it is the perfect time to enjoy brunch indoors and beat the unbearable heat. Riyasat Doha welcomes families, friends, and brunch lovers every Friday starting 12pm until 4pm, to indulge in the most unique majestic brunch experience yet, with an extensive menu of many Indian classics and street favourites specially curated by Indiaâs acclaimed Master Chef, Chef Jolly.
Thereâs so much food to try, make sure you come hungry! Let us look deeper into what Riyasat has to offer. The brunch features a variety of delicious Naashta, a selection of famous Indian street chaats, salads and sharing nibbles. For vegetarians, the Kale Chips Papdi Chaat, is a crowd favourite, made of roasted sweet potato, peanuts, gram-flour hay, and minted-tamarind dip, alongside the Quinoa Peaches Salad, which includes leafy greens, toasted pumpkin seeds, walnuts- pomelo dressing make the perfect choice for starters. The curried crab âPuchkaâ is a refreshing twist alongside the classic Pani Puri made by chefs table side, the Burra Duck Croute is a melt in the mouth, slow roasted pulled duck leg on savoury crisps is a must try, the Mughlai Kheema Paratha is a robust spiced minced lamb and egg stuffed flaky bread served all at once in the Naashta section.Â
Next is the Robata and Tandoor, which is a traditional method of cooking in India, over hot charcoal predominantly a bee-hive clay oven. The Tandoor lamb seekh are minced lamb skewers, perfectly charred, served alongside some of Riyasatâs most celebrated dishes, such as the Makhan Chooza Roast, Amritsari (Tandoor roasted chicken), the Jeenga Balai, which is prawns marinated with roasted garlic, Kashmiri chilies and cream cheese. Finally, the Riyasati Tandoori Lobster, a 600-to-800-gram Indian ocean sand lobster, which is marinated and cooked to absolute perfection and cannot be missed.Â
More dishes that are served during brunch are the Khaas (mains) and Biryanis. Everyoneâs favourite the signature Mardana Murgh is a must try. So is the Shabdegh Dal Riyasat, also refered to as âmaah di daalâ, which is patiently simmered lentils, creamed and buttered overnight, and is recommended for all vegetarians. In the Biryani section, the guests will have a choice to select their own prized pot of either lamb, chicken or prawnâs biryani. Â Some interesting sides accompany all dishes, and they include the âNaanâ which could be ordered plain, butter or garlic, the Makhni Lachcha Parantha is a layered wholewheat bread topped generously with butter and a homemade spice blend, the Khada Saag is a vegetarian delight of baby spinach and baked buffalo cheese tempered with ginger and fenugreek. Keep room for Riyasatâs Signature Dessert Selection which offers an exciting blend of classics and crowd favourites. Â
The Riyasati âMaharajaâ masala chai, a delicate concoction of Royal tea, cardamon, dried rose, and saffron is a traditional royal ending which undoubtedly takes you back to the era of the majestic Indian estates of the 19th century.
Guests can opt for signature vegetarian options upon request. Brunch is served for QAR 255 per person including soft drinks and mocktails. Enhanced beverage package available at QAR 140/- per person, which includes cocktails, grapes and hops. Fridayâs at Riyasat, is a day to make memories with family, friends and enjoy a heart-warming cosy atmosphere. Kids below 6 can eat for free, kids between 6 and 12 can enjoy brunch at QAR105 only and kids above the age of 12 will be charged the regular brunch price which is QAR 255.
