The Russian Defense Ministry announced repelling an intensive drone attack launched by Ukrainian forces last night, and shooting down 83 drones over the southwestern provinces of the country.
The Ministry said in a statement that 37 drones were shot down over Bryansk Province, 12 over Kursk Province, 12 over Lipetsk Province, nine in Tver Province, three in Belgorod Province, three in Kaluga Province, three in Smolensk Province, three in Voronezh Province, and one in Rostov Province.
Russia and Ukraine regularly announce the downing of drones, but these claims cannot be independently verified due to the ongoing war since February 2022.
