Katara falcon exhibition
The Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (Sâhail 2022) is returning to Doha for the sixth edition from September 5 to 10.
The exhibition will be bigger and better this year, vice-chariman of the organising committee Mohammed bin Abdul Latif Al-Misnad said, promising the participation of more than 170 exhibitors from 16 Arab and foreign countries.
âWe are nearing the completion of the plan for the sixth edition of Sâhail, which has become an important platform for falconers and hunting enthusiasts, not only at the local and regional level but also globally,â Misnad said.
He pointed out that the exhibition venue is 20 percent bigger this year and divided into three sections: one for displaying falconry supplies, another for hunting firearms and ammunition, and a third for falconry-related accessories like vehicle equipment, travel necessities and farm equipment.
This edition will also feature for the first time an auction.
Besides, the public can take part in competitions to pick the best pavilion, hood and various other contests involving cooking tailored for falconry trips.
Misnad said Sâhail 2022 will not only be confined to the practical and economic aspects of hunting and falconry but also enrich the cultural and artistic aspects attached to them. Live paintings drawing the participation of elite artists, poetry seminars and scientific lectures would be part of the exhibition as part of the falconry heritage of Qatar, he added.
Misnad said the exhibitors have the option to list their products on the S'hail application to better promote them among potential buyers
The fifth edition of the exhibition registered the participation of 160 international companies from 19 countries, and achieved a high percentage of sales, he added.
