Saudi Arabia to Host the World's Biggest Falcon Auction
Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is set to become the global hub for falconry as it hosts the 2024 International Falconry Breeders Auction.
Taking place at the Saudi Falcon Club's headquarters in Malham, just north of Riyadh, the event runs from August 5 to 24.
As the largest auction of its kind, the 20-day event will feature over 35 top falcon breeders from 16 countries. It draws falconry enthusiasts and producers from around the world, highlighting elite falcon breeds and underscoring the Saudi Falcon Club's dedication to preserving and promoting falconry heritage.
The auction has generated over 18 million riyals in the past three years and is expected to create new business opportunities while fostering the exchange of expertise among local and international falconry professionals. The event will be broadcast live on TV and social media.
Alongside the auction, the Saudi Falcon Club has also announced its upcoming events for the 2024-2025 season.
These events include the inaugural Falcon Club Cup in Hafar Al Batin, the Saudi International Falconry and Hunting Exhibition, the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, the Al Ula Falconry Cup, the Malwah Race, and the Saudi Falconry Club Auction.
