Second plane aiding injured Palestinians arrives in Qatar following Amir's directive
In line with directives from Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for aiding injured Palestinians and supporting orphans, the second plane with wounded Palestinians arrived in Qatar on December 9, 2023.
HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed this news on her social media, sharing images and a video of the Amiri Air Force's medical evacuation plane landing in Doha.
In an Arabic message, she conveyed, "Each individual carries their own narrative. Some have lost homes, others their loved ones, limbs, or even more. Despite these losses, they have not lost their faith, resilience, or heartfelt smiles."
Accompanied by HE Munir Abdullah Ghannam, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Qatar, and Palestinian Embassy personnel, the Minister welcomed the patients at Doha Airport. Al Khater also extended gratitude to the Egyptian Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Red Crescent for their assistance in the transportation process.
On December 3, prompted by the Amir, a directive was issued to treat 1,500 injured Palestinians and sponsor 3,000 orphans from Gaza. Subsequently, the initial plane carrying wounded individuals for treatment arrived in Qatar on December 4.
