Jawan, meaning 'Soldier,' is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film. It is co-written and directed by Atlee, marking his debut in Hindi cinema. The movie is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The star-studded cast includes Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, along with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance), Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra.
Jawan hit theaters today, on September 7, 2023, in various formats, including standard, IMAX, 4DX, and other premium options, in the Hindi language. Additionally, dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu languages will also be released. Initially scheduled for June 2, 2023, the film faced a delay to August 2023, but it eventually returned to its original release date of September 7, 2023.
Notably, Jawan will make history as the first Indian film to grace the screens of IMAX Leonberg, one of the world's largest cinema theaters. Furthermore, it marks a milestone as the first Hindi film to simultaneously premiere in Bangladesh on the same day.
