The Qatar Meteorology Department has announced that strong northwesterly winds are expected to impact the country starting Tuesday, April 15, and will continue through the weekend.
According to the official update shared on social media, wind speeds will range from fresh to strong, potentially leading to blowing dust and reduced visibility in some areas. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, especially while traveling in open or desert areas.
In addition, a marine warning has been issued for coastal and offshore regions, with wave heights predicted to range between 3 to 8 feet, and possibly reaching up to 12 feet at times.
The Meteorology Department has urged the public to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and follow safety guidelines issued by official authorities during this period of unstable weather.
