The 20th Edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition
The upcoming 20th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), scheduled from February 5 to 11, is set to feature the participation of over 500 brands from 10 countries globally.
Qatar Tourism Chairman, H E Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, shared details at a press conference at Raffles Doha, expressing gratitude to partners for the event's success over the years.
The 20th edition of DJWE will see the involvement of more than 500 brands representing 10 countries worldwide. Al Kharji extended appreciation to the partners of the exhibition, attributing its development and success to their contributions. Held at the 30,000sqm Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), this edition introduces Indian and Turkish pavilions, along with 10 exhibitors under the Qatari Designers Pavilion.
Notable additions include Key Gems, AlMajid Home, Renee Jewels, Naylah, Kooheji Jewellery, and Hessa Jewels, a brand initiated by Qatari Designer Hessa as part of the Qatari designers initiative.
Yousef Mahmoud Al Neama, Qatar National Bank (QNB) Group Chief Business Officer, emphasized their role as the official sponsor, expressing commitment to supporting local and international events in the tourism sector. Al Neama highlighted the exhibition's unique platform that brings together creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation, aligning with QNB's core values.
Qatar Tourism Chief of Marketing and Promotion Officer, Engr Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, acknowledged the significance of the exhibition's 20-year milestone, recognizing partners at Qatar National Bank and Qatar Business Events Corporation.
Beyond showcasing jewellery and watches, the event includes workshops with industry experts. Supermodel Irina Shayk and sports icon Thierry Henry are featured in this year's campaign, alongside the return of Qatar Tourism's Qatari Designers initiative.
The "Big 8" participants for this year include AlFardan Jewellery, Al Majed Jewellery, Ali Bin Ali Luxury, Amiri Gems, Fifty One East, Al Muftah Jewellery, Blue Salon, and Bulgari. DJWE 2024 will witness special debuts such as Tiffany & Co.'s 2024 Bird on a Pearl and Bulgari's 'High Jewellery' necklace. AlMajed Jewellery and Blue Salon will introduce new 'Qatar Limited Edition' watches and jewellery brands.
Special pieces debuting for DJWE 2024 include Tiffany & Co.'s 2024 Bird on a Pearl and the bespoke 'High Jewellery' necklace from Bulgari. Phillips, a global platform for buying and selling art and design, will also be present, known for holding the world record for the most successful watch auctions.
Education Above All returns for this year's edition, collaborating with Brazilian jeweller Silvia Furmanovich and Qatari Designers.
The free-entry event will be open daily from 12 pm to 10 pm, except on Fridays when it will be open from 3 pm to 11 pm.
