Pakistani police have reported the tragic killing of 17-year-old TikTok star Sana Yousaf, who was shot dead at her home in Islamabad on Monday evening. The suspect, a 22-year-old man, was arrested and is believed to have harassed her repeatedly online before committing the crime.
“She had rejected him several times. It was a cold-blooded and gruesome act,” said Islamabad police chief Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi during a press briefing.
Sana, who had recently celebrated her 17th birthday, had over 800,000 followers on TikTok and shared videos on beauty tips, lip-syncs, and product promotions. Her final video, posted just hours before her death, shows her cutting a birthday cake.
