Traffic Department uses drones to check violations

Qatar’s Traffic Department is known for their use of cameras, radars, and other technology to keep traffic violations in check, on the road. The Department now plans on adding drones to the list of equipment they use.

The Department tweeted a video showcasing the many ways drones can be useful in monitoring violations and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic. 

Drones have been used to monitor truck movements at peak hours and violations such as failure to organize and secure a safe load, entering unauthorized areas, and failure to follow a designated lane.
