Turkish President Honors Qatar for Supporting Turkiye in Addressing Effects of Earthquake

HE President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan honored the State of Qatar along with other countries that provided support to Turkiye in addressing the effects of the February 6, 2023 earthquake disaster. The honoring was attended by the Ministers of Interior, Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change.

During a ceremony held in Adiyaman Province to commemorate the second anniversary of the earthquake, HE the Turkish President thanked the State of Qatar, noting that it always stands by the Republic of Turkiye. His Excellency sent his greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the people of the State of Qatar.

Acting Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Turkiye Dr. Naif bin Jassim Al Abduljabbar received a commemorative shield from HE the Turkish President in appreciation of the State of Qatar's support and assistance to his country in confronting the effects of the earthquake disaster.
