Qatari planes deliver Gaza aid in Egypt's Arish
On December 3, 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Qatar confirmed that two Qatari Armed Forces planes had landed in the city of Arish, Egypt, carrying 27 tons of aid. This aid, including food supplies, was provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, Qatar Red Crescent Society, Qatar Charity, and the Christian Churches Steering Committee. It was intended to be transported to Gaza, contributing to a total of 37 planes and 1,219 tons of aid.
The Christian Churches Steering Committee approached Qatar, seeking solidarity aid for the people of Gaza, heavily impacted by a scarcity of essentials amid ongoing conflict and challenges in aid delivery.
Minister of State for International Cooperation, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, received the assistance at Arish International Airport. This aid signifies Qatar's unwavering support for the Palestinians during their challenging times.
