Two Qatari women designers recognized in Forbes' 'Middle East Fashion Innovators' ranking

Two Qatari female designers, Ghada Al Subaey and Wadha Al Hajri, have been acknowledged by Forbes in its inaugural list titled "The Middle East’s Fashion Innovators."

The list honors 40 influential fashion designers from the region, celebrating their contributions to global fashion by integrating Arab heritage and culture into unique designs.

Ghada Al Subaey, founder of 1309 Studios known for minimalist ready-to-wear since 2015, is recognized globally. She also established The Cutting Studio, supporting emerging designers in Qatar. Al Subaey co-founded K in 2012 with her sisters, rebranded as 1309 Studio in 2015, and now leads it independently.

Wadha Al Hajri launched her women's ready-to-wear label 'Wadha' in 2010. Notably, she was the first designer to showcase her collection at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in 2013 and at Milan's Palazzo Morando as part of Vogue Talents.

Al Hajri extends her brand through 'House of Wadha' in Doha, blending her aesthetic principles into a living space, and has expanded into luxury fragrances and women’s bags.

Forbes' recognition highlights Al Subaey and Al Hajri's impact on fashion, inspiring young women in Qatar and the Middle East to pursue innovation in their dreams, reinforcing the pivotal role of women in Qatar's community.
