Arrested Persons
The General Directorate of Drug Enforcement at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has successfully apprehended two individuals of Asian nationality for dealing various types of illegal substances and concealing them in different locations using geographical coordinates, in coordination with a third party.
After obtaining permission from the Public Prosecution to search their residence, large quantities of hashish, shabu/methamphetamine, and heroin, in addition to an amount of QR11,700, which is believed to be the proceeds from the sale of the narcotics, were recovered, according to the ministry's statement.
The MoI said the suspects confessed that they were distributing the illegal substances by placing them at specific coordinates in exchange for monetary compensation, where they would send the coordinates and distribute them to a third Asian individual residing outside Qatar.
The suspects, along with the seized items, were referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office to initiate its standard procedures in this regard.
