Two men hide in car bumpers

Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones arrested two men attempting to enter the country illegally. 

The customs authority shared a video of the arrest on Monday, January 8, 2024, and stated that the two infiltrators were attempting to enter the country throught its customs terminals and were detected through the X-ray scans of two vehicles.

The video shared shows the x-ray scans where the men can be seen concealing themselves inside the rear bumpers, under the trunk of the cars. It further shows the officials dismantling the car and arresting the men who were hiding inside 2-feet small boxes installed beneath the rear trunk.

Local media quoted an official as saying that the men did not carry any documents and now face legal consequences for their illegal attempt along with the drivers of the vehicles for their role in this smuggling attempt.
