Vistara Inaugurates Mumbai-Doha Direct Flights, Strengthening Regional Presence

Vistara, India's premier full-service carrier and a collaborative venture between the Tata group and Singapore Airlines, has successfully launched direct flights connecting Mumbai and Doha four times a week.

The maiden flight, operated on Vistara's A321neo aircraft, took off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, at 18:45 Hours (IST) on December 15, 2023, and touched down at Hamad International Airport, Doha, at 20:30 Hours (local time zone).

Responding to the growing demand for travel between India and the Middle East, Vistara has strategically expanded its presence in the region. The airline already provides direct connectivity to five destinations in the Middle East, including Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Dubai, Jeddah, and Muscat.

Vinod Kannan, Chief Executive Officer of Vistara, expressed confidence in the positive reception of Vistara's Middle Eastern routes. He emphasized that the addition of Doha as Vistara’s 50th destination and sixth in the Middle East aligns with the airline's commitment to meeting market demands and customer preferences.

Sujata Suri, Senior Vice President of Finance and Procurement at Hamad International Airport, welcomed the partnership with Vistara, highlighting the strategic collaboration between Doha and Mumbai. This collaboration reinforces Hamad International Airport's dedication to expanding connectivity and providing passengers with unparalleled travel experiences.
