WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform owned by Meta, has begun testing a new feature called "Ask Meta AI" for Android users, according to the latest beta release (version 2.25.23.24).
The feature allows users to initiate a real-time conversation with Meta's AI-powered chatbot about a specific message, offering additional context or verification of its content, according to WABetaInfo, a site that tracks WhatsApp updates.
The option appears directly within the message interaction menu, enabling users to quickly and easily engage with the chatbot by asking questions or requesting clarifications related to the selected message.
WhatsApp said the feature will roll out gradually to users worldwide over the coming weeks.
