Doha, Qatar: The Zakat Affairs Department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that since the beginning of September, it has received over 1,000 requests for assistance with school and university fees for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Abdulmonem Ali Al Hammadi, Head of the Zakat Disbursement Section, noted that more than 750 of these applications have already been processed, with tuition payments currently being made on behalf of eligible students enrolled in private schools and local universities.
