African Comedy Festival returns to Doha on June 10, 2022

The event brings to Qatar highly rated comedians from South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda to entertain comedy lovers

There are many kinds of festivals in Qatar, food festivals, horse festivals, music festivals, film festivals, and even a festival for camels, but none of them tickle our funny bones quite like the African Comedy Festival. So, if you’re in need of a reason to laugh, make it a part of your plans in June. This year’s AFC 2022 has a strong lineup including Emmanuelle & Mark Angel comedy team from Nigeria, Eric Omondi from Kenya, Tumi Morake from South Africa, and Salvador from Uganda.

This event will be held at Al Dana Club, Al Jewan Hall on Friday the 10^th of June, 2022.

Emmanuelle & Mark Angel

Millions of people follow YouTube sensations Emmanuelle and Mark Angel on social media. Their channel markangelcomedy has 8.7 million subscribers through which they entertain comedy lovers around the world.

Eric Omondi

You will be entertained by Eric Omondi, the Kenyan comedian and content creator best known for his work on the "wife material" series, which is currently on season 3 on YouTube. He made his comedy debut in Churchill Show, a comedy show that aired on NTV in 2008. He has since won three African Entertainment Awards USA for 'Best Comedian' in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Tumi Morake

Tumi is a South African TV personality, comedian, and actress. She is best known for her Netflix film “Seriously Single”. She is also well known for her work on "Netflix is a Joke" and for being the first woman to host "Central Comedy Presents" in Africa.

Salvador

Salvador is a Ugandan comedian, actor, radio personality, and engineer. He is also known as "The Man from Ombokolo". He was first runner up in the MultiChoice Africa organised comedy competition, Standup Uganda in 2009. He reached the semifinals of the World's Funniest Person competition in 2016 and was nominated in 2017 and 2018 in the Savannah Comic Choice Awards as the Pan African Comic of the Year.
