The Al Baldah Star is set to appear in the skies over Qatar today, January 28, signaling the beginning of the second and final phase of the Shabat season, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department.
The department explained that the Al Baldah phase will last for 13 days, during which cold weather conditions are expected to persist. However, the intensity of the cold is likely to gradually decrease toward the end of this period. Weather conditions will also see a shift in wind patterns, with winds gradually turning southerly and occasional rain-bearing clouds expected to form.
Shabat marks the second stage of the winter season and is traditionally divided into two equal periods: Al Naeβaem and Al Baldah, each lasting 13 days, as noted in media reports.
