Al Wakra Park Development Works underway
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has started the development and maintenance work of Al Wakra Public Park, established towards the end of the 1980s, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported. The project includes greening vast areas with hundreds of local trees as well as providing pedestrian and bicycle paths, as well as sports equipment and play areas for children. The park can be accessed from the Pearl Monument signals through Al-Orouba Street, and it covers an area of 47,000sqm. Ashghal recently opened Al Gharafa Park and the renovated Rawdal Al Khail Park and the one at Umm Al Saneem is under construction. Parks are considered natural filters to purify the air and reduce carbon emissions. Â Â
