Amir's Visit Boosts Economic and Investment Ties Between Qatar and the Netherlands

Salim M. Rabbani, Chairperson of The Netherlands-Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Business Council (NMBC), emphasized the importance of the visit by H H the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Netherlands in enhancing the bilateral relationship, particularly in economic and investment sectors. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Rabbani highlighted the robust ties between Qatar and the Netherlands, which span various fields. He expressed optimism that the Amir's visit would further strengthen and deepen these relations, benefiting both nations.

Rabbani noted that the trade relations between Qatar and the Netherlands are diverse, encompassing sectors such as energy, food security, and information technology. He pointed out that Qatari companies have investments in numerous areas within the Netherlands, while Dutch companies have significant investments across various sectors in Qatar.

Regarding trade exchanges, Rabbani mentioned that gas, agricultural products and equipment, industrial materials, and logistical equipment are the primary goods traded between the two countries. He also highlighted the cooperation with the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) aimed at enhancing trade and investment relations between institutions, companies, and various stakeholders in both nations, which would facilitate communication between investors and entrepreneurs from Qatar and the Netherlands.

Rabbani confirmed the presence of considerable opportunities for trade and investment between the two countries, noting the similarities between Qatar and the Netherlands. He praised Qatar's strategic position and its strong relations with neighboring countries, which bolster its economic potential and support its foreign investments.

In conclusion, Rabbani commended the significant progress and achievements Qatar has made in recent years across various sectors, including education, culture, technology, entrepreneurship, and other development areas.
