Qatar's Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has thanked the Filipino and Indian communities in Qatar for their contributions for the welfare of Afghans being hosted in Qatar.
In separate tweets, HE Lolwah Rashid Mohammed Al Khater acknowledged the Filipino "generosity and solidarity" and the Indian gifts that "made Afghan children smile again".
"Many thanks to the [Filipino] community in Qatar, for their generosity & solidarity with our fellow Afghans." the Assistant Foreign Minister said in a tweet on Thursday.
"They’ve been quietly sending their contributions. You’ve always shown that you’re an integral part of Qatar," she added.
Later that evening, HE Lolwah Rashid Mohammed Al Khater said, "Many thanks to the Indian community and the Embassy in Qatar, the gifts you distributed made Afghan children smile again."
