Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) announced that registration for the 2026 Hajj season will open on October 1 and continue until October 31, 2025.
During a press conference, the Ministry highlighted the importance of fulfilling all registration requirements for prospective pilgrims. This year, two new measures have been introduced: applicants must provide a mandatory health certificate from any Primary Health Care Center confirming their fitness for the pilgrimage, and a QR10,000 deposit is required, which will serve as a security amount and contribute to financing the journey.
The Ministry noted that Qatar’s quota for this year is 4,400 pilgrims. Registration will be conducted through the official website (hajj.gov.qa), with electronic sorting beginning immediately after the registration period ends. Successful applicants will receive approvals in November.
