Awqaf Ministry Calls for Sighting of Ramadan Crescent on Friday

The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has called upon Muslims in Qatar to sight the new crescent (hilal) of the blessed month of Ramadan on Friday evening, Sha'ban 29, 1443 AH according to the Qatari calendar, corresponding to April 1, 2022.

The Committee asks whoever witnesses the crescent to head to the headquarters of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, located in Al Dafna (Towers) to report his testimony. The Committee will meet immediately after Maghreb prayer.
