KATARA ART CENTER
Founded in 2012, The Katara Art Center (KAC) is an independently run platform by Tariq Al Jaidah at the Katara Cultural Village.
The gallery is dedicated to contemporary art and trans-disciplinary creative endeavors, projects, and practices and acts as a hub for emerging cultural communities of all art disciplines.Â
With a gallery space of more than 1000 sq meters, the center seeks to use the platform to inspire and engage the artists and art enthusiasts in the region, while educating the people on the importance of art and culture through its many exhibitions, shows and workshops.

SOUQ WAQIF ART CENTER
The Souq Waqif Art Center, often regarded as Qatar’s artistic and cultural landmark, is a guide for all artists and art students on the various techniques used in all the art forms in the region. Since its opening in 2013, the Waqif art center has been a popular site among the locals and tourists alike, with its many art workshops and exhibitions featuring artworks, sculptures, paintings and contemporary designs.

MATHAF: ARAB MUSEUM OF MODERN ART
Founded over a decade ago, the Mathaf Museum features both traditional as well as contemporary work by some of the most well known artists in the region.Â
The permanent collection galleries at Mathaf bring together notable artists and important pieces from the Middle East and other areas with historical connections to Qatar and the Arab Peninsula.
Some of its permanent exhibitions include Women in Society, Portraits of Changing Societies, New Vocabularies in Post-independence Contexts, Mathematics and Universal Systems of Perception, and The Re-invention of Materials. The museum also hosts a wide range of temporary exhibitions and events details to which can be found on their website.

DOHA FIRE STATION
Built in 1982 and once a fully operational fire station, The Doha Fire Station is a 700 sq meter exhibition space and gallery in the heart of Doha, right next to Al Bidda Family Park. The fire station was redesigned and converted by the Qatar Museums Authority in partnership with renowned architect Ibrahim Al Jaidah, committed to preserve the original structure and semblance of Doha’s first civil defense site. Majaz: Contemporary Art Qatar is the current exhibition featured at the Doha Fire Station until February 2023.
Doha Fire Station is home to Alain Ducasse’s Cafe 999 which was recently revamped into a retro chic culinary space with help from artists and creatives. In addition, the building features studios and workspaces, a woodshop, the Fire Station Cinema, a fabrication lab and an art supply shop.

ALHOSH GALLERY
Originally a premiere art gallery in Doha, AlHosh Gallery is now a one-of-a-kind pop up gallery concept with art exhibitions by local artists in different locations in Qatar. They currently have two ongoing exhibitions: Sheikh Hassan - Looking Ahead, and a collaboration with Flat White Cafe.

GALLERY ALRIWAQ
Founded in 2010, The Gallery AlRiwaq is situated in front of the Museum of Islamic Art. It has played a significant role in making Qatar the hub of art and culture both within the region and globally. It is a permanent gallery space for temporary exhibitions and currently houses well known contemporary art pieces. Takashi Murakami, Damien Hirst, and most recently Jeff Koons are just a few of the well-known international artists that have previously performed there.Â

VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY QATAR GALLERY
The Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar (VCU-Q) is known for its on-campus gallery and exhibition space. Project Spaces 2022 - 2023 is VCU-Q’s exhibition program that features a variety of solo and group shows by artists, VCU students, faculty and staff.
The gallery is open to the public for exhibitions, showcasing some of the most thought provoking pieces designed to get you reflecting on a variety of topics.
