Doha Metro
Qatar Rail has announced that the green line Doha Metro services between Education City and Al Riffa will be 'affected' tomorrow from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This temporary closure is due to a planned "Watan" joint security exercise.
In a social media post, Qatar Rail said: "On November 16 from 15:00 to 21:00, Green Line Metro services between Education City and Al Riffa will be affected by a planned 'Watan' joint security exercise in collaboration with the Safety & Security Operations Committee at Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy."

Qatar Rail also mentioned that the metro services on the rest of its network will continue to run normally.Â
In a press conference held recently, organising authorities stated that 'Watan' will demonstrate Qatar's readiness to host the highly-anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.Â
The country will host the three-day joint security exercise with the participation of 13 countries and as many as 28 military, civil, organisational and service authorities will also be a part of the event.
The joint exercise will be conducted at multiple sites in the country. This includes competitive facilities for the championship and non-competitive facilities and a number of public, vital and tourist facilities on land and at sea.
