Old Doha Port has recently forged a strategic partnership with prominent marinas across Qatar, aiming to elevate the yachting experience and bolster luxury marine tourism in the nation.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Old Doha Port joined hands with key players like Ronautica Middle East (operator of The Pearl Island marinas), Banana Island Resort Doha, Aura Group (Beefbar Marina), and Resort and Leisure Company (Corinthia Yacht Club, Porto Arabia) marinas. This collaboration aims to provide boat and yacht owners with comprehensive solutions and exclusive benefits, a first for Qatar’s marina scene.

Among the perks extended to locals, residents, and tourists are discounted rates at top-notch restaurants and accommodations, complimentary docking and berthing, and catering services. Discounts ranging from 15% to 20% will span across an array of services including food and beverage, hospitality, nautical activities, berthing, and maintenance facilities.

CEO Mohammed Al Mulla of Old Doha Port expressed the significance of this collaboration in enhancing the individual experiences of yacht and boat owners while collectively advancing Qatar's aspiration to become a premier global yachting destination. He emphasized the alignment of this partnership with Qatar National Vision 2030, viewing it as a strategic move towards enriching Qatar's maritime heritage and fostering a culture of service excellence.

Al Mulla further revealed meticulous planning behind this initiative and outlined plans to extend the partnership regionally and globally. Talks are underway to include visitors from neighboring GCC countries, underscoring the initiative's potential to transcend national borders and cater to an international audience.

Moreover, Al Mulla disclosed a similar MoU inked with a yacht marina in the UAE earlier, enabling berth owners to enjoy complimentary dockage for a week in both Abu Dhabi and Old Doha Port. This cross-border collaboration exemplifies the partnership's commitment to offering enhanced customer experiences and fostering closer ties within the region's yachting community.
