The International Football Association (FIFA) announced the release of tickets for people with special needs or those with limited mobility for the Arab Cup 2021, which will be hosted by the State of Qatar during the period from November 30 to December 18, with the participation of 16 Arab teams under the FIFA umbrella and it is the last rehearsal for the World Cup finals scheduled to be held in Doha in 2022.

FIFA said in its statement today disabled fans and fans with limited mobility wishing to see these unique venues up close, as well as to witness the best Arab football nations dueling for the title of the first FIFA Arab Cup champions, can book Accessibility Tickets via FIFA's ticketing portal.

Accessibility Tickets are a dedicated allocation of tickets for which disabled people and people with limited mobility can apply, and are offered in the following types:

Wheelchair User: for users of wheelchairs and mobility scooters designed for transporting disabled people and people with limited mobility. Please note that such users must bring their own manual or electric wheelchairs, as they will not be provided at the stadium.

Easy Access Standard: for people with limited mobility who do not need a wheelchair-user place but require seating with minimal step access that is close to accessible amenities (e.g. accessible toilets).

Easy Access Amenity: for people with limited mobility who do not use wheelchairs but are unable to bend their knees or need more room to access their seats using a walking aid or crutches. Amenity seats also provide extra space for disabled people with assistance dogs. Whenever possible, these seats have minimal step access.

Easy Access Extra-Width: for people with a BMI that is equal to or exceeds 40kg/m2.

With the sole exception of Easy Access Extra-Width tickets, successful applicants for Accessibility Tickets will receive one complimentary companion ticket. The companion will be seated as close as possible to the Accessibility Ticket customer.

However, the exact location of the seat cannot be guaranteed FIFA cannot ensure that the companions seat will be adjacent to that of the Accessibility Ticket customer.

FIFA stressed that as part of the ticket application process, customers who apply for Accessibility Tickets are required to submit proof-of-eligibility documents that are commonly and widely accepted in their country of residence. Such proof of eligibility must also be presented upon ticket collection (if applicable) and, upon request, at the entrance to the stadium, permits for accessible parking will not be accepted as valid proof.

The statement explained that the number of Accessibility Tickets is limited due to the stadiums configuration, therefore, please be courteous to other fans and only apply for Accessibility Tickets if you truly require them.

During this last-minute sales phase, which will run until the end of the tournament, Accessibility Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and confirmed immediately after payment. Currently, tickets for all 32 matches are still up for grabs.

As of mid-November, tickets can also be purchased over the counter at the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centre located at the Doha Exhibition Centre (near Al Qassar metro station). Visa, FIFAs Official Payment Services Partner, is the preferred payment method for fan ticket purchases for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021.

Six of the World Cup stadiums will host the Arab Cup matches, foremost of which is Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, which will witness the opening of the tournament between Qatar and Bahrain on November 30 and the final match on December 18, while Al Janoub Stadiums, Ras Abu Aboud, Al Thumama, and Education City, and Ahmad bin Ali the rest of the championship matches.

The expected tournament for the Arabs and the world will witness the announcement of the readiness of two stadiums for the 2022 World Cup, namely Al Bayt Stadium, which will host the opening and final matches, and Ras Abu Aboud, the first completely "dismantling" stadium in the history of the World Cup.
