New schools
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has opened five new preparatory and secondary schools for boys and girls in different parts of the country in order to provide the best possible educational experience for students and to achieve Qatar's development goals and National Vision 2030.
The new schools will start receiving students for the new academic year 2022-2023. Each school will accommodate 786 students, among them 36 with special needs who will be distributed to 6 classes, whereas the remaining 750 students will be accommodated in 30 classrooms.
The schools have modern buildings that will facilitate the work of administration and teachers thus enriching the educational process for students.
Each school has a sports hall, a theater, science laboratories, art workshops, computer labs, outdoor playgrounds, in addition to an air-conditioned school assembly yard and dedicated parking.
Environment-friendly materials were used during the construction of schools to ensure the classification of new buildings as green buildings according to national standards.
Coinciding with the opening of the schools, Minister HE Buthaniya bint Ali Al-Nuaimi issued a ministerial decision appointing principals for the five new schools:
The five schools opened by the Ministry are part of the PPP schools project and they're part of a total of eight schools for the first package that will be opened through this partnership.
