The top four email scam themes have been outlined by Kaspersky and the tactics currently prevalent in the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa region (META).

These scams show different social engineering methods used by cybercriminals. However, the objective remains intact, which is to entice unsuspecting victims and steal their personal and financial data.

Email scammers disguise themselves as having come from trusted sources, tricking their recipients into opening the emails, clicking on malicious links or downloading harmful attachments.
