Qatar's healthcare sector has reached a remarkable milestone, with four of its hospitals securing spots among the top 100 globally in the latest edition of the Global Top 250 Hospitals report by Brand Finance. This recognition underscores the countryās commitment to delivering world-class medical services and enhancing its reputation as a leader in healthcare excellence.
Hamad General Hospital made a significant leap to claim the 44th position, climbing an impressive 38 places from its previous rank of 82. Al Wakrah Hospital follows closely at 46, advancing from its 99th position last year. HMC Heart Hospital secured the 84th spot, showing remarkable progress from its previous ranking of 175, while the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) rounded off Qatarās presence in the top 100 at 93rd place.
Brand Finance, a globally renowned consultancy specializing in brand valuation, evaluates over 6,000 brands annually across various sectors. The report considers multiple factors, including clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, healthcare innovation, and overall brand strength. Qatarās inclusion in this prestigious ranking highlights its rapid strides in medical infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care models.
Qatarās healthcare system has consistently been recognized for its emphasis on accessibility, quality, and innovation. Meanwhile, on the global stage, Johns Hopkins Hospital secured the title of the worldās strongest hospital brand, climbing seven places to surpass the Mayo Clinic Health System, which has now dropped to third place after holding the top spot for two consecutive years. Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust also made a significant jump, rising 14 positions to claim the second spot.
The 2025 rankings reflect significant progress in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with hospitals in Qatar and Morocco showing substantial improvements. Morocco saw three of its hospitals enter the top 100 for the first time, and overall, 12 hospitals from the MENA region are now featured among the worldās best.
