International Artistic Gymnastics Championship

The Friendship International Artistic Gymnastics Championship kicked off Friday at Aspire Academy, with the participation of 225 young players from Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.

The opening ceremony witnessed a distinguished presence of officials from the Qatar Gymnastics Federation, and the rhythmic gymnastics players of the Qatar Federation shone, presenting an artistic show to the tunes of traditional and international music, which was admired by everyone, amid a distinctive festive atmosphere and encouragement from all the players of the tournament.

Ali Al Hitmi, President of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Championship, expressed his happiness with the high technical level shown by the participating players during the competitions of the first day, which reflects the interest of the participating countries in choosing the best players, which benefits all participating countries.

Al Hitmi said in a statement that the championship started with an idea and developed until it reached this distinguished level.

It is an opportunity for all academies to assess the level of players at this important age group. It is also an opportunity for the Qatar Gymnastics Federation to discover talents and evaluate the period of work of the academies, on the basis of which the Federation’s strategy is determined.
