Gaza’s Al-Quds Hospital Provided With Solar Power From Qatar Red Crescent Society
QRCS has provided Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza with a solar power system, to mitigate the impact of power outages on the blockade, which last for over 12 hours a day as part of its interventions to develop the health sector in Gaza.
It has been mentioned by the head of QRCS representation office in Gaza that the project would assist in making sure that the community of health services for the patients at the medical facilities.
Under the QR 1.6m project, 498 solar panels were installed to supply the hospital with 323-kilowatt electricity.
It has also been stated by the general director of QRCS who is Dr. Bashar Murad that the hospitals of the companies needed power supply 24 hours to provide high-quality and life-saving health services.
