Hamad International Airport
Matar, the Qatar Company for Airports Operation and Management, announced it will be conducting its sixth full-scale emergency exercise at Hamad International Airport (DOH), on January 8 (Monday) from 5pm to 8pm.
The simulation is part of Matar's commitment to ensuringthe highest level of preparedness in the event of an incident while safeguarding the well-being of staff and passengers.
The exercise will take place in the passenger terminal and the manoeuvring area located airside, which will not affect airport operations.
The simulation will involve an aircraft distress landing and accident, which will test the effectiveness of the airport's emergency response and that of its partners, stakeholders and government agencies.
The full-scale emergency exercise will be conducted in coordinationwith partners and stakeholders including Qatar Airways Group, Airline Operators Committee, Airport Customs, Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, National Command Center, Ministry of Transport, State Security Bureau, Qatar Emiri Air Force, Qatar Air Accident Investigation, Qatar Red Crescent Society — Emergency Medical Services,Qatar Disaster Victim Identification Team and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
