Honey and dates festival at Al Mazrouah Yard

According to the Ministry of Municipality, Qatar will officially begin the eagerly anticipated regional honey and dates festival at Al Mazrouah Yard, one of the seasonal vegetable marketplaces next to Umm Salal Central Market.

The celebration is anticipated to run from December 29 to January 5, 2023, every day from 7 am to 2 pm. Several local farms are participating in the celebration by selling honey and different kinds of dates, which are symbolic of the nation's abundant agricultural and high-quality production.

The festival aims to annually bring a substantial throng of visitors and customers to the seasonal vegetable markets with an emphasis on promoting local agricultural products.

Sidr, Samur, and Al Rabi are three types of honey that the Gulf country makes based on the seasonally available flowers. Sidr honey, which is widely produced in Qatar, is quite popular locally.

The Ministry of Municipality has provided local farms with enormous support throughout the years in an effort to develop their products and raise the country's level of self-sufficiency for vegetables, dates, and honey.
