In Doha, Qatar, over 150,000 tickets have been snapped up for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. Enthusiastic fans from across the continent quickly purchased the entire first batch released by the Local Organising Committee, with more tickets slated for release soon.
Within the initial 24 hours of ticket sales launch on October 10, 2023, a remarkable 81,209 tickets were sold. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and India led global sales. From January 12 to February 10, 2024, 24 teams will compete in 51 matches across nine stadiums in Qatar. This marks Qatar's third time hosting the prestigious football event, having done so in 1988 and 2011.
The inaugural match, featuring host and defending champions Qatar against Lebanon, will take place at the renowned Lusail Stadium, accommodating approximately 88,000 spectators. This venue, which hosted the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Final, will also host the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 Final.
Group stage match tickets start at 25 QAR and are available for online purchase via the official ticketing website. International spectators can also obtain tickets through the same platform; Hayya is not mandatory for stadium entry.
Fans can choose from various packages to support their favorite teams. All matches offer accessible seating, ensuring a barrier-free experience for disabled fans, including wheelchair-accessible seats and those for individuals with limited mobility.
Qatar's stadiums are conveniently close, with the farthest distance between any two being 75kms. This allows fans to attend multiple matches daily and stay in one venue throughout the tournament, thanks to modern road and rail networks connecting the stadiums.
All AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 tickets are digital, accessible via mobile devices without needing internet connectivity at the stadium. Fans can download tickets to their digital wallets, ensuring a seamless, paper-free experience, aligning with Qatar's commitment to a sustainable tournament. Ticket resale is facilitated through the official platform.
