Man arrested for drug trafficking in Qatar

The Search and Follow-up Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has apprehended an individual from an Asian country for drug trafficking.

The man was arrested, following the authorization from the Public Prosecution, after being found "trafficking in the illicit drug hashish, in exchange for monetary gains, in collaboration with another individual outside the country."

During the search of the suspect's residence and vehicle, quantities of hashish were discovered, packaged in various sizes of rolls and packets. The total quantity seized amounted to 12 kilograms of hashish, According to MoI.

The ministry said the suspect and the seized items have been referred to the Public Prosecution for the necessary legal procedures in this matter.
