Under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the 14th edition of Milipol Qatar, organized by the Ministry of Interior, will start in Doha from May 24 to 26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

Milipol Qatar, the leading international event in homeland security and civil defense in the Middle East, is launched amid the growing demand for innovative solutions and advanced defense systems, which are necessary to address the complex challenges facing the internal security sector.

The organizing committee expected that Milipol Qatar 2022 would attract more than 200 delegates and dignitaries from 40 countries.

Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee Major General Nasser bin Fahd Al-Thani said that in light of the growing security challenges, including mechanisms to respond to health threats such as the COVID-19 crisis, the growing cyber risks and geopolitical turmoil that the world has witnessed recently, the 14th edition constitutes a pioneering meeting point for innovation, supporting the sector's aspirations and efforts to meet the immediate and future requirements of decision-makers, security forces, technical executives, and infrastructure developers.

There is no doubt that the current edition of the exhibition will be one of the most awaited meetings and will exceed the great results achieved by the previous edition, which established its position as one of the most prominent internal security and civil defense activities in the region, with the signing of contracts and agreements worth more than QR390 million and the 82 percent satisfaction rate of the exhibitors, he pointed out.

For their part, the exhibitors expressed their aspiration to contribute to meeting Qatar's needs in the areas of internal security and civil defense, which are linked to the Qatar National Vision 2030, which allocates huge investments to infrastructure projects that in turn require advanced security solutions and local and international expertise.

Milipol Qatar attracts the most prominent actors in the public and industrial security sector around the world, who seize the opportunity of their participation in the exhibition to showcase the latest innovative products and services in the fields of security and safety, detection and prevention devices, and systems, and other innovative systems and services.

The event meets a large part of the growing security needs of the State of Qatar, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The previous edition of the exhibition, which was held in March 2021, attracted more than 220 exhibitors from 17 countries with the rate of new participation reaching more than 50 percent and the attendance of more than 8,000 visitors from 80 countries.

The organizers of Milipol Qatar expect that the 2022 edition will perform better, especially with the lifting of many restrictions imposed on international travel.

The Milipol Qatar exhibition is being held amid expectations that the homeland security market in the Middle East will grow by 14.5 percent annually, during the period covered by the forecasts between 2019 and 2025, according to the Research Engine platform.

Milipol Qatar, which was launched in 1996, is the leading international event in the field of homeland security and civil defense in the Middle East.

In addition to the Ministry of the Interior, the biennial event is co-organized by the French company Comexposium represented by the GIE Milipol headed by Civipol, the consultancy, and services company of the French Ministry of the Interior.

For more than 30 years, the Milipol brand has been associated with high quality and the most prominent global homeland security events, including Milipol Paris, Milipol Qatar, and Milipol Asia-Pacific.
