Minister of Endowments Inaugurates Ablan Endowment Project

HE the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem inaugurated today the Ablan Endowment Project, as part of the endowment bank projects for piety and for serving mosques.

HE the Minister Al Ghanem affirmed that Islamic endowments have historically been a major supporter of economic, social and cultural development in many countries of the Islamic world, and a tributary to the consolidation of principles and the promotion of values as endowment is a basic pillar of sustainable economic development, and its presence is considered a constant support for progress and prosperity in the various areas that receive endowment money.

He pointed out that the endowment in Islam is an image of social solidarity, and a clear manifestation of the spirit of love among society members whose individuals are keen to endow their money on areas of goodness and public benefit that take many forms, so that endowment can represent a community partnership, investment and development. The Ministry, represented by the General Administration of Endowments, aims to promote the concept of endowment culture among society members.

During inauguration of Ablan Endowment Project, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani, Director General of the General Administration of Endowments stressed the importance of this endowment project,

explaining that it shows us the unique characteristics of the endowment, which are reward, remembrance, growth, and goodness.
