MECC Rescues Exhausted Falcons, Reinforcing Qatar’s Wildlife Protection Efforts
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) has successfully rescued several falcons found in a weakened state, ensuring they received the necessary veterinary care before being released back into their natural environment.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on June 2, 2025, the Ministry revealed that the rescue operation was initiated following reports from vigilant citizens who noticed the falcons appearing fatigued—likely due to soaring temperatures.
Acting swiftly, MECC activated its emergency response teams to assess and address the situation on the ground.
This rescue operation underscores Qatar’s ongoing efforts to safeguard its biodiversity and uphold its strong commitment to the protection of native wildlife species.
