Human Trafficking Prevention Workshop
The Ministry of Labor (MoL), represented by the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO), organized today a workshop on preventing human trafficking.
The organization of the workshop comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Labor represented by the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT) in raising awareness about the methods and types of human trafficking cases.
The workshop, which was attended by participants and employees from the hospitality sector in the State of Qatar, aims to exchange positive practices and enhance efforts to conduct responsible business and prevent Human Trafficking.
The workshop focused on raising awareness about combating human trafficking for workers in the hospitality sector, and the pivotal role of establishing joint Labor committees, in addition to highlighting the efforts of the hotel sector in combating human trafficking and the potential development of an action plan for the hospitality sector.
The National Committee for Human Trafficking called on all workers to report complaints about abuses related to human trafficking cases and crimes, as well as the violations related to crimes of human trafficking via the hotline: 16044, and e-mail: Ht@mol.gov.qa.
