Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) continues to reward its customers with weekly and monthly cash prizes as part of QIB’s Misk Savings Account.

More than 600 Misk account holders have been rewarded with cash prizes in the fourth edition of QIB’s Misk Savings Account. The much-awaited grand prize draw for QR1mn is set for November 2021, concluding the fourth edition of Misk draws, the bank has said in a statement.

To qualify for the grand prize draw, customers must open the account three months prior to the draw and maintain a minimum of QR10,000 for each of those months. Every additional QR10,000 added to the savings account earns the customer one more chance in the draw. The Misk account is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to promote positive financial habits and encourage individuals to save money. Due to the increasing popularity of the account, QIB has increased both the total number of winners to 805 and total prizes to QR10mn in this year’s edition, the statement notes. Each week, 15 lucky winners are entitled to QR10,000 each and two monthly winners are eligible for QR50,000 each.

To date, QIB has awarded more than 600 winners with cash prizes as part of its ongoing Misk Savings Account programme raffle draws. More than 200 new weekly and monthly cash prizes winners will be announced until November.

All the draws are held in the presence of official representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and QIB representatives. The names of the winners from the most recent draw are published on QIB’s website.

Existing and new QIB customers interested in opening a Misk account can do so from anywhere in the world at any time by simply using the award-winning QIB mobile App. Upon opening the account, customers will receive a free debit card, free e-statement, and can request a free first-year credit card backed by their Misk account accounts balance.

Additionally, customers are granted access to QIB’s recently upgraded Internet banking portal and mobile App, which have been globally awarded for their innovative features and convenience in managing day-to-day banking needs.

All Qatari citizens and residents are eligible to open an innovative Misk Savings Account for themselves or their children. Customers must maintain a minimum monthly balance of QR10,000 to be eligible for the weekly and monthly draws.

Qatari customers interested in opening a Misk account can download the QIB mobile App and using digital identification technology, scan the required documents, including their Qatari ID, take a selfie and fill in a few remaining personal details.

To facilitate a seamless experience, QIB has also introduced a ‘Live Chat’ feature that allows customers to directly get in touch with a QIB customer service representative if they have any queries or need further support at any time during the process.
