Six-Party Arab Meeting
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani participated in the six-party Arab ministerial meeting on the situation in Palestine, which was held today in Cairo, at the invitation of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The meeting brought together foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, along with the Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization representing Palestine, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
Discussions during the meeting, dealt with a host of topics primarily the displacement of Palestinians, consolidating the Gaza ceasefire agreement, the adequate and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip, and the need to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to perform its UN Mandate.
During the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's categorical rejection of any attempts to displace the brotherly Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, pointing out that such calls would renew confrontations in the Occupied Palestinian territories and worsen the suffering of the Palestinian people.
