Ramadan of Hope
Qatar Charity (QC) continues to implement the ‘Mobile Iftar for Workers’ project by distributing iftar meals to workers in Qatar, as part of its ‘Ramadan of Hope’ drive.
The QR7.1-million project, which comes with the support of the benefactors in Qatar, is expected to benefit 562,000 workers during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The project, which seeks to reduce the burdens on this section of the community, comes in recognition of their role in contributing to the construction of the country’s infrastructure and the services they provide.
The project aims to distribute the complete meals to the workers in different areas, which are the Industrial Area and Al-Ruwais Port, in addition to the different farms, company labour camps and their places of residence in Mukaynis, Umm Al-Afai and Al-Khurayb.
The ready-to-eat meals are delivered to the workers through vehicles in their places of residence and work.
Qatar Charity, with the support of the benefactors, is implementing QR100- million Ramadan projects in Qatar, which include iftar meals for workers, Ramadan supply for families with limited income and mobile iftar, in addition to providing aid to persons in debt and humanitarian cases and widows.
Qatar Charity urged benefactors to support Qatar Charity’s ‘Ramadan of Hope’ drive to continue to implement this project and other Ramadan projects.
